Job Description
A client within the Public Sector based in Cambridgeshire is currently recruiting for a Cyclical Maintenance Officer to join their Green Team / Highways Maintenance Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a highways and green infrastructure environment.\n\n The Role \nKey purpose of the role:\n To coordinate, administer and develop cyclical and planned maintenance programmes for green infrastructure assets across Cambridgeshire County Council’s highway network.\n\n Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:\n • Covering Green Team works and associated cyclical maintenance activities\n • CMO administration, coordination and follow-up of MGroup works programmes, including purchase order timelines\n • Entering and managing reporting via CRN and Aurora systems\n • Developing planned and proactive maintenance regimes for ongoing cyclical works\n • Supporting winter maintenance and gritting operations, including scheduling and potential out-of-hours working\n \nThe Candidate \nTo be considered for this role you will require the following essential qualifications and experience:\n • A relevant qualification in horticulture, arboriculture, countryside management, highways or a related discipline\n • Proven experience working within a local authority or public sector environment\n • A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle\n The below skills would be beneficial for the role:\n • Strong knowledge of green infrastructure maintenance including trees, hedges, verges, grass and Rights of Way\n • Experience working with asset management systems such as Aurora\n • Experience in winter maintenance and gritting operations\n \nThe client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £200 per day Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £150 per day PAYE).\n\n How to Apply \nIf this position sounds of interest, email a copy of your up-to-date CV to (url removed) or call Amelia at Service Care Construction on (phone number removed) to discuss the vacancy in more detail.\n\n Also, if this role is not of interest to you, but you are looking for new opportunities, please still get in touch as we cover all construction-related vacancies across the region.\n\n Referral Bonus \nIf this role is not suitable for yourself, but you know someone who may be interested, please pass on their details, or forward these details to them.
