Overview A Security Officer – Incident Manager will support the Cyber Operations function of NHS England, analysing and responding to security incidents within the Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC). Responsibilities
Support incident managers and apprentices with a variety of internal and external enquiries. Manage a range of security incidents within the Security Operations pillar of the CSOC. Use advanced analytic tools and data to determine emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities. Generate reports for technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including documentation and detailed reporting. Engage internal and external stakeholders from a wide variety of backgrounds. Design processes and innovate to improve the Incident Management Team. Provide advice and guidance to NHS organisations following a security incident using effective communication.
Eligibility and Requirements All NHS England cyber security personnel must hold a Security Clearance level as a minimum. Candidates must meet National Security Vetting requirements, requiring minimum 5 years continuous UK residency (or 3 years with overseas service checks). Successful candidates will have clearance achieved post‑offer; failure to achieve clearance will result in offer withdrawal. For existing NHS employees, an Inter‑Authority Transfer (IAT) via the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) may be offered. The role is advertised under the title Security Officer but is specifically for an Incident Manager. Salary includes a Recruitment and Retention Premia (RRP) of 10% per annum. #J-18808-Ljbffr
