Contract Opportunity: Cyber Security Essentials Accreditation Project

One of the UK’s most well-known charities is looking for an experienced Cyber Security Consultant to support their journey towards Cyber Security Essentials Accreditation.

This is a hands-on role for someone comfortable working in environments with significant technical debt, shadow IT, and where meaningful change is already underway but still needs structured guidance. The organisation has been making changes since 2022, but now needs a structured, expert-led approach to reach the next stage of maturity. They are looking for someone with previous experience helping medium-sized orgs with Cyber Security Essentials.

What’s involved:

Initial Phase (1 week):

Work closely with the internal Infra Lead to develop a clear, actionable plan to move the accreditation process forward.

Delivery Phase (3+ months):

Take the lead on the non-technical workstream – including creating policies, documenting processes, improving compliance, and formalising governance structures.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience helping medium-sized orgs with Cyber Security Essentials
• A track record of delivering cyber security transformation or compliance projects
• Confidence navigating environments with shadow IT and minimal existing documentation
• A practical, hands-on approach to solving complex problems
