Salary: £28,000–£32,000 DOE

Hours: Monday–Friday, 37 hours per week (office‑based)

My client is looking for a Customer Services Team Leader to join their friendly, supportive team in the heart of Exeter. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll guide a team of Customer Service Advisors and Administrators, ensuring exceptional service delivery both face‑to‑face and over the phone.

What You’ll Be Doing:

* Leading, supporting, and developing a team of customer service and administrative staff

* Providing day‑to‑day coaching, guidance, and performance support

* Handling customer enquiries in person and over the phone

* Managing challenging or sensitive situations with patience, empathy, and professionalism

* Ensuring compliance with internal processes and administrative procedures

* Overseeing on-boarding and training for new team members

* Prioritising workload and helping the team stay organised in a fast‑moving environment

* Maintaining a calm, solutions‑focused approach even during busy periods

What are the traits required in the Customer Service Team Leader role:

* Proven experience leading a customer facing team

* Strong background in customer service, ideally in a fast paced environment

* Confident dealing with customers face‑to‑face and over the phone

* Ability to stay calm, patient, and professional with difficult or emotional situations

* Experience with on-boarding, training, and coaching team members

* Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively

* A natural problem‑solver who can think on their feet

* Understanding of compliance and administrative processes

* Experience in the healthcare sector is an advantage, but not essential
