Customer Service Coordinator - Transport / Distribution - Stockport - Up to £35,000.

About the Company

Our client are a well-established logistics company based in Stockport and due to their continued growth they are looking for an experienced Customer Service Coordinator to be based in their head office in Stockport. They currently operate across 2 pallet networks, hazardous and non-hazardous freight and working within the UK Transport department.

Experience working within a Transport / Distribution environment is essential
Experience operating within a Pallet Network
Recent UK Road Haulage operational experience is preferred as is a good understanding of other modes of freight transport preferred.
Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills are Essential
Excellent telephone manner  Customer Service Operator - Responsibilities

Answering calls and liaising with customers chasing bookings, delivery times and dealing with queries.
Liaising with other pallet network depots to chase ETAs.
Working with the Operations team to ensure that customers' deliveries run smoothly and communicating any issues to customers in a timely and professional manner.
Managing customer claims and paperwork.
Managing and updating internal and pallet network databases accurately.
Calling and emailing suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiating prices and arranging bookings for customers.
Working with accounts to set up new businesses onto our internal system and the booking portal.
Providing excellent customer service and developing strong relationships with both our customers' and suppliers. About Us
