CSCS Grounds Maintenance Operative - CB2

Job Type: Part-Time (3-4 Days Per Week) Contract: On-Going Pay Rate: £14.24p/h inc. hol. pay Start Date: The works are set to begin in first week of April

The works is ongoing. However, there is possibility of a permanent roles after if all goes well

General Overview

\n

PPM Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Static Grounds Maintenance Operative to support a live landscaping and planting project based in Cambridge.

\n

The primary responsibility will be the watering and aftercare of newly planted trees and shrubs , ensuring plant health and preventing replacement costs due to under-maintenance.

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n Carry out planned watering of newly planted trees, shrubs, and landscaped areas.

\n

Deliver general grounds maintenance duties including:

\n

\n Light weeding

\n

Plant care and aftercare

\n

Monitoring plant health and reporting concerns

\n

\n

Ensure all planting is maintained to a high standard in line with project specifications.

\n

Work independently as a static operative on site.

\n

Maintain safe working practices at all times.

\n

Take ownership of site standards and uphold a professional approach.

\n

\n

\n

Please note - Failure to maintain appropriate watering schedules may result in plant failure. The successful candidate will therefore be trusted to work independently and responsibly , ensuring project standards are maintained throughout the growing season.

Requirements

\n

\n \n Valid CSCS Card - Essential (site remains partially under construction)

\n

Previous grounds maintenance or landscaping experience

\n

Experience with watering and plant aftercare highly desirable

\n

Reliable, punctual and trustworthy

\n

Able to work independently without supervision

\n

Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail

\n

Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

\n

Experience maintaining newly planted schemes
