Criminal Prosecutor - Train Operating Company

We are working with a notable train operating company in the UK that is looking to secure the assistance of a Criminal Prosecutor for an assignment of 6-12 months in duration, starting ASAP.
Successful candidates are likely to be qualified Solicitors or Barristers with upwards of 5 years' experience in prosecuting criminal cases. A track record of advocacy in the Magistrates Court, and a solid understanding of court procedure, particularly the requirements of the Criminal Procedure Rules, is essential. Experience of prosecuting Railway Byelaws offences would be beneficial, but is not a prerequisite. Matters that proceed to the Crown Court will be handled by external Counsel, who will be briefed by the successful individual. It is, therefore, imperative that the successful individual is capable of instructing Counsel accurately, concisely, and at speed. As well as prosecuting cases, this role will also involve the supervision of non-regulated individuals and the building of internal processes alongside key stakeholders.
The role is London based and offers a hybrid working arrangement. Candidates can expect to spend more time in the office for the first few weeks whilst they are getting to know the team, before transitioning to 3 days a week in the office.
