Credit Risk Business Analyst – 6-Month Contract

Location: London (5 days onsite)

Rate: Up to £700/day (Inside IR35)


We are seeking a Credit Risk Business Analyst to join a leading investment bank on a 6-month rolling contract. This role focuses on counterparty credit risk, credit derivatives, and repos, supporting improvements to credit risk reporting and monitoring processes.


What You’ll Do

You’ll work with business and technology teams to enhance credit risk reporting, ensure data quality, and support intraday and end-of-day monitoring. Your role will be to translate complex business requirements into actionable solutions, validate pricing and simulation models, and assist in delivering system enhancements.


You will play a key part in testing, user acceptance, and change management, ensuring that new processes and solutions meet both functional and operational requirements. Strong communication and collaboration with risk, front office, and technology stakeholders will be essential.


Responsibilities

  • Capture, document, and track detailed business and system requirements, including non-functional requirements
  • Support delivery of enhancements to credit risk reporting and monitoring
  • Validate pricing models using vendor or proprietary engines
  • Map trade and market data to internal reporting and risk systems
  • Assist with change control, testing, and UAT to ensure smooth deployment
  • Work with teams to identify and remediate production issues
  • Partner with stakeholders across credit risk, market risk, and front office teams


What You Bring

  • Strong understanding of Counterparty Credit Risk, Credit Derivatives, and Repos
  • Knowledge of credit risk frameworks such as PFE, VaR, CVA, and Expected Shortfall
  • Experience working with pricing/risk engines
  • Proven ability to gather, track, and articulate business requirements clearly
  • Familiarity with non-functional requirements and change management processes
  • Experience analysing system and data flows with practical examples
  • Solid knowledge of investment banking products and workflows
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills


Requirements

  • Degree-level education
  • 5+ years’ experience in credit risk / counterparty risk roles
