We're looking for a Credit Controller to join a busy, office-based finance team in Poole on a fixed-term basis. Key Responsibilities:
In this Credit Controller role, you'll take ownership of customer accounts and ensure effective debt management:
- Act as the main point of contact for customer account queries
- Manage reconciliations, customer portals, and EDI integrations
- Review accounts for creditworthiness and recommend limits and terms
- Monitor and collect outstanding debts to maximise cash flow
- Resolve invoice and payment queries efficiently
- Produce and distribute statements, reminders, and overdue letters
- Generate weekly and ad hoc reports on credit status and holds
- Proactively manage new accounts and high-value invoices
- Support month-end processes including consolidated invoicing
What we're looking for:
To succeed as a Credit Controller, you'll bring:
- Previous experience in credit control or a similar finance role
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Confidence managing multiple accounts and priorities
- A proactive approach to problem-solving
- Good knowledge of finance systems and processes
