Credit Controller
Salary - £30k per annum (permanent)

Location - St Albans
Job Responsibilities
Proactively manage the end-to-end credit control process by engaging with customers to resolve overdue balances and encourage timely payments.
Handle a large portfolio of small accounts with care and attention, ensuring swift action on outstanding invoices to maintain healthy cash flow.
Communicate confidently with customers over the phone to address payment issues in a polite and considerate manner, fostering positive relationships.
Collaborate closely with Sales colleagues to unblock queries and gather essential information needed for progressing payments efficiently.
Assist with raising invoices, supporting month-end activities, and contributing to other Accounts Receivable tasks as required by the Finance team.
Take on ad-hoc duties such as supporting Purchase Ledger processes when needed, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to help across the team.
Contribute positively to general Finance operations by sharing knowledge and supporting communal goals within the department.
Experience Required
Experience working within a Finance Team or exposure to finance operations is highly desirable for understanding credit control processes.
Resilience is essential; you remain focused on achieving results even when faced with setbacks or challenging situations.
Confidence communicating over the phone enables you to handle difficult conversations politely while encouraging timely payments.
