The Role
As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing credit control across a diverse portfolio of accounts including national supermarkets, wholesale traders and export customers. You will play a key role in ensuring strong financial controls while maintaining excellent relationships with both internal teams and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
Manage credit control for a range of customer accounts including national supermarkets, wholesale traders and export clients using a variety of collection and risk management techniques.
Conduct credit reviews and ongoing risk management of customer accounts.
Handle discrepancy management and resolve customer queries efficiently.
Manage order suspension and release in line with credit policies.
Liaise with multiple UK sites to provide dedicated credit control support.
Prepare for and attend regular debt and risk review meetings.
Ensure all requests received through the credit control inbox are actioned promptly.
Produce weekly and bi-weekly reporting on credit control performance and account status.
About You
Excellent communication skills with a strong team ethic.
Proven ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload effectively.
Experience working within a customer-focused environment.
High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
Experience driving continuous improvements and supporting change initiatives.
Experience working with multiple ERP systems (Navision and SAP preferred).
Advanced Excel skills.
Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
Strong internal and external customer focus.
