Credit Controller Subcontract Ledger
Location: Braintree, Essex
Salary: Circa £30,000 (DOE)
Working Pattern: Hybrid 50/50 Office & Home (after training)
Our Client is an established construction/manufacturing business based in Braintree and they are looking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller to take full responsibility for their subcontractor ledger.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Credit Controller, ideally with strong construction industry knowledge to step into a key role within their finance team.
The Role:
Full ownership of the subcontract credit control ledger
Managing and monitoring subcontractor accounts
Chasing outstanding balances and ensuring timely payments
Resolving payment queries and discrepancies
Liaising with subcontractors, site teams, and internal departments
Maintaining accurate records and producing aged debt reports
Supporting the wider finance team as required
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years experience in a Credit Control role
Previous experience within the construction industry is preferred
Experience dealing with subcontractor accounts is highly advantageous
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Organised, proactive, and able to work independently
Confident using accounting systems and Excel
