About the role
This Credit Controller job offers the opportunity to take full ownership of a busy, high-value ledger within a growing and well-established organisation. Youll manage a portfolio of around 5060 B2B customer accounts, with significant monthly values, giving you the chance to work in a fast-paced environment where every day brings variety. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role covering everything from setting up new customer accounts and credit limits, proactively chasing overdue invoices, resolving queries, allocating incoming payments and building productive relationships with clients. Youll use a blend of email and phone communication, adapting your approach to suit each customer while ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and strong attention to detail.
Youll play a key part in improving cashflow and reducing aged debt, working to clear monthly targets and KPIs. The role includes managing client-specific processes, reconciling documentation, and supporting the smooth resolution of any discrepancies that arise. Full training will be provided on internal systems, with opportunities to expand your knowledge and responsibilities as your confidence grows.

Experience
Previous experience in credit control, accounts payable, or a finance related role is preferred
Familiarity with accounting software and data entry processes
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple accounts simultaneously
Good phone etiquette combined with clear communication skills is vital for successful client interactions and relationship building
