We have an exciting opportunity for a colleague to step into the role of Credit Controller within our Financial Operations team, on a 6-month fixed term contract. If you have a proven background in receivables management and credit control and are looking for a role where you can make a real impact on the financial health of a fast-growing business, we'd love to hear from you.In this role, you'll take ownership of the group's credit control operations managing inbound cash collection, assessing credit risk, and acting as a trusted partner to the sales team to maintain healthy cash flow across the business.What we're looking for:proven experience managing receivables, ideally within a group environmentstrong knowledge of credit control principles, credit risk assessment, and collections strategiesexperience owning receivables month-end processes, including bad debt provision and cash flow reportingproficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office, including Dynamics 365 (Desirable)confident, professional communication style both written and verbalhighly organised with the ability to prioritise workload and work independentlya collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving abilitiesKey Responsibilities:develop and implement effective collections strategies, including fee deduction and direct debit collectionsmonitor and follow up on overdue payments, partnering with consultants and clients to resolve billing issues and negotiate payment plans where necessarymaintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment activity within Dynamics 365produce aged debt analysis reports, manage bad debt provision, and contribute to cash flow forecastsown and maintain group receivables schedules for both month-end and year-end reportingsupport the Accounts Receivable Team Leader with the adoption of acquisition-inherited debtprovide first-line review and training support for Finance Assistants and junior finance staffWhat's in it for you:This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career here at Mattioli Woods, take on greater responsibility, and make a real impact within a team you may already know well.
