Location: Knaresborough Rate of Pay: £15.23 per hour (Permanent equivalent salary: £29,700) Shifts: 12-hour shifts (Days and Nights) on a rotating 35-day cycle 14 working days and 21 non-working days Our clientis currently recruiting a Plant Operator to join their team. This role involves operating our Overhead Grab Crane as part of the day-to-day waste processing operation. No previous crane experience is necessary full training will be provided. Key Responsibilities Operate the overhead crane safely and efficiently from a control room and via remote control.
Carry out daily pre-start checks and routine safety inspections on equipment.
Collaborate with plant teams to ensure optimal material flow and plant performance.
Maintain records of material movements for seamless shift handovers.
Support minor crane maintenance and report larger faults to the Shift Team Leader.
Assist maintenance engineers with equipment checks and functionality.
Uphold housekeeping standards in crane and control areas.
