About the role
We are seeking an experienced CQC Registered Manager and Nominated Individual to support a specialist private hair transplant clinic through the next stage of its regulatory journey. This is a key leadership appointment for someone who understands CQC compliance, governance, and the standards required within a clinical theatre environment.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for regulatory oversight, support the extension of existing CQC registration, and work closely with clinical leadership to ensure the service remains safe, effective, and fully compliant. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and ambitious organisation with strong foundations already in place.
Key responsibilities
Act as the CQC Registered Manager and Nominated Individual for the clinic.
Lead the CQC registration process, including applications and interview for additional regulated activities.
Ensure the service is fully prepared for inspection and ongoing regulatory scrutiny.
Oversee compliance across all key areas, including safety, quality, governance, and patient experience.
Work collaboratively with clinical leaders to maintain robust policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
Manage incident reporting, risk management, audits, and quality assurance activity.
Act as the main point of contact for CQC communications and regulatory matters.
Support staff training and promote a strong culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
Produce accurate governance and compliance reporting for senior leadership.
About you
We are looking for someone with:
Proven experience as a CQC Registered Manager and/or Nominated Individual.
Strong knowledge of CQC registration processes and regulated activities.
Experience within aesthetic, surgical, or independent healthcare settings.
A sound understanding of governance, compliance, and clinical quality standards.
The ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with confidence.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A professional, credible, and proactive approach.
Desirable experience
Experience supporting CQC registration for surgical procedures.
Background in nursing, allied health, or a related clinical discipline.
Experience in theatre-based or procedure-led services.
Previous involvement in a CQC application from inception.
Working arrangement
This role offers hybrid working, with on-site attendance required for inspections, key compliance activity, and other business needs. The organisation is open to discussing a flexible working arrangement for the right candidate.
