Are you interested in gaining hands-on experience in secondary education?
Academics Education Agency is currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Retford.
This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals who are passionate about education and training and confident working with young people in a classroom environment.
As a Cover Supervisor working with Academics in Retford, you will:
- Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following school policies.
- Lead and support secondary-aged pupils across KS3 and KS4.
- Gain valuable experience within a range of secondary school settings.

To be considered for a Cover Supervisor role with Academics, applicants should ideally have:
- Degree-level education (ideally education-related or equivalent).
- Experience leading groups of secondary-aged pupils, ideally within an educational setting.
- Confidence delivering lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage learners.
- An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
- The legal right to work in the UK.
- Flexibility to travel to secondary schools across Retford and the surrounding area. xbpsjku
