Milk Education are looking for enthusiastic and confident individuals to join our team of Cover Supervisors in and around the Guildford, Surrey area (GU5).

✨ What does a Cover Supervisor do?

* Supervise whole classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring lessons run smoothly * Deliver pre-prepared work and keep pupils focused and engaged * Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies * Provide support and guidance where needed, helping pupils stay on track * Be a positive role model, creating a calm and productive learning environment

✨ The Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

Attend local primary & secondary schools in the Guildford, Surrey GU5 area to cover lessons for absent teachers.

Deliver pre-prepared work to classes and take registers.

Manage behaviour and ensure a safe, calm learning environment.

Maintain school policies and support pupils throughout the day

Step confidently into different classrooms and year groups

You won’t be expected to plan lessons, mark work, or have prior teaching experience — although any experience working with young people is highly desirable.

What We’re Looking For as a Cover Supervisor

A resilient, confident, and positive personality

Good behaviour-management skills or willingness to learn

Strong punctuality and reliability

Experience working with young people (desirable).

Qualified Teachers (QTS/QTLS/PGCE) are also encouraged to apply and will receive a higher pay rate
