Cover Supervisor / Stoke-on-Trent / ASAP Start / Daily Supply

Are you an aspiring teacher looking to gain classroom experience before committing to a PGCE? Do you feel confident managing classroom behaviour? Do you already have experience working with young people?

Academics is recruiting on behalf of a network of secondary schools across Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, and Cheshire East & West. We're looking to appoint reliable and confident Cover Supervisors to work on a flexible, daily supply basis-delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher.


The Role
  • Supervise KS3-KS4 classes and deliver pre-prepared lessons
  • Maintain a calm, focused, and productive classroom environment
  • Follow school behaviour and safeguarding policies
  • Support students in their learning and provide basic feedback to teaching staff
  • Work flexibly on an ad-hoc basis to suit your schedule (ideal for university students)

What We're Looking For
  • A confident classroom presence with strong communication skills
  • A minimum of 2 months' UK experience working with young people
  • Effective behaviour management and the ability to build positive relationships
  • A flexible, reliable, and proactive approach
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
