TeacherActive is currently recruiting for Cover Supervisors to work across a variety of secondary schools throughout Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are looking to work in education without the full responsibilities of a qualified teacher. It’s ideal for recent graduates, teaching assistants, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, youth workers, or anyone with experience working with children or young adults.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom in the absence of the teacher, managing the lesson and keeping students on task using materials provided by the school.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
Delivering pre-prepared lessons to students in KS3 and KS4 (ages 11–16)
Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment
Supporting students in understanding tasks and staying focused
Following school behaviour and safeguarding policies at all times
Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and engagement
