As a Cover Supervisor – Supply, you will step into classrooms to supervise students during teacher absences, ensuring lessons run smoothly and students remain engaged with their learning. Key Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor – Supply:

Supervise classes across a range of subjects during teacher absences Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students stay on task Maintain a positive, focused, and productive classroom environment Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies Support students in completing their work and learning activities Provide guidance and assistance where needed during lessons Report any behavioural issues or concerns to the relevant staff Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students

Requirements of a Cover Supervisor:

Experience working with children or young people is desirable Confidence in managing a classroom environment Strong communication and organisational skills The ability to adapt quickly to different school settings A flexible and proactive approach to work An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
