Cover Supervisors - Part time | various schools looking for short term and ad hoc support with supply! Schools across Harpenden, St Albans and Dunstable

Are you a confident and adaptable cover supervisor? Or, Are you a recent graduate considering a career with education and are looking for a role that offers support and training?

Tradewind is proud to be working in partnership with a huge variety of schools in Harpenden and the surrounding area's to find cover supervisors who can work on a cover basis supporting with sickness and absences. Behaviour at these schools is very good and we have a range of posts from 2 days a week - to full, ongoing posts to suit your availability. For those starting out in education we are proudly working alongside multiple schools that offer training and development for all staff. In addition you'll also benefit by joining Tradewind with full, FREE, access to the National College after you've worked your first day with us.

These roles commence now and throughout the Academic year. For the right candidates, there will be potential for temp-to-perm opportunities including routes into teacher training.

We welcome applications from confident individuals with experience working with children or young people in other sectors, such as sports coaching, youth work, tutoring, or childcare.

We are looking for applicants who are local to, or can travel to Harpenden, St Albans or Dunstable and work for the hours of 8:30-3:30.

The Role:

• Deliver planned lessons in the absence of the teacher
• Manage behaviour in the classroom and wider school environment and maintaining an appropriate learning environment
• Support pupils with their learning and answer general questions
• Monitor and Reporting back on student progress and classroom activity

Who are you?

• Experience working with children or young people (ideally with tuition, school or youth work support settings)
• Calm, confident, and able to manage classroom behaviour effectively
• Flexible and able to adapt to different subjects and xbpsjku classroom settings
• A genuine interest in education and supporting young learners
• Degree or Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential
