GSL Education are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work in a well-regarded school located in Sinfin. This position is ideal for individuals considering a career in teaching young people in an educational setting. As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will be the vital link that keeps classrooms running smoothly during teacher absences.
As a Cover Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
Supervising lessons across a range of subjects during teacher absences.
Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring students stay on task.
Delivering pre-set lesson plans and adhering to school policies.
Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Providing feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and engagement.
To be successful as a Cover Supervisor, you should:
Have previous experience working with secondary-aged students or in a similar supervisory role.
Possess excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
Be flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to different classroom environments.
Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
