Cover Supervisor – Aspiring Teacher Location: SE2, South East London Start Date: January Contract: Full-time, term time

A welcoming and well-organised secondary school in the SE2 area is seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis from January.

This role is ideal for someone with strong classroom presence who is interested in gaining valuable experience in a secondary school setting, particularly for those considering a future career in teaching or education.

The Role:

Supervising classes during teacher absences across KS3 and KS4

Delivering pre-set lesson plans and ensuring students remain on task

Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Supporting students with their learning and responding to questions where appropriate

Ensuring a safe, calm, and productive learning environment

Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and behaviour

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience working with secondary-aged students (school-based experience preferred)

Be confident managing a classroom and engaging students

Have strong communication and organisational skills

Be calm, professional, and adaptable

Be committed to safeguarding and student wellbeing

Be available to work full time from January
