Location: Northampton (Hybrid Working Available)Job Type: Full-Time, PermanentSalary: Competitive (DOE)About the RoleA well-established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Court of Protection Solicitor to join its highly regarded Legal 500 Court of Protection team based in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated solicitor to manage their own caseload while working within a supportive and collaborative Private Client team.The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload of Court of Protection matters, supporting vulnerable clients and their families with financial affairs and decision-making processes. The role involves working closely with protected parties, their families, care providers, and financial institutions while ensuring the highest standards of client care.The firm offers a strong team culture, structured career development plans, and the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of its Court of Protection practice. You will also benefit from support from the wider Private Client team and the firm's marketing department in developing the department further.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging a caseload of Court of Protection matters independentlyPreparing and submitting Court of Protection applications and formsManaging the day-to-day financial affairs of Court of Protection clientsVisiting clients and protected parties in their homes or care settingsCorresponding with family members, care staff, and relevant third partiesLiaising with banks, financial institutions, and other professional advisorsPreparing and managing Court of Protection annual accountsTaking and responding to enquiries from clients and third partiesMaking and advising on best interest decisions in accordance with relevant legislationInstructing third parties where required to progress mattersDelegating and supervising tasks for junior fee earners where appropriateMaintaining the highest standards of client care and professional practiceRequirementsUKQualified Solicitor with ideally 5+ years' PQEProven experience handling Court of Protection matters independentlyStrong knowledge of Court of Protection procedures and financial management for protected partiesAbility to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervisionExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organisational skills and attention to detailEmpathy, patience, and a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable clientsExperience supervising or delegating work to junior staff would be advantageousA collaborative attitude and willingness to contribute to the continued growth of the teamBenefits and ProgressionCompetitive salary depending on experienceHybrid working arrangements availableOpportunity to join a Legal 500 recognised Court of Protection teamStructured career development and progression opportunitiesSupportive team culture within a well-established Private Client departmentMarketing and business development support to help grow the practice #J-18808-Ljbffr
