Job Description

Corporate Finance Manager – Power & Utilities

Location: London | Hybrid working

Salary: Up to £75,000 (Depending on Experience)

A top-tier consultancy is expanding its Corporate Finance and Debt Advisory capabilities within its market-leading Power & Utilities team.

The team advises UK infrastructure clients and investors across water, energy, and aviation. With mandates spanning equity sizing, benchmark bond issuance, and first-time credit ratings, the Corporate Finance function operates at the intersection of regulation, finance and policy.

This role offers the opportunity to join a high-performing team with a clear strategic focus: building a specialist debt advisory capability embedded within one of the most established infrastructure advisory platforms in the UK.

The role:

As a Manager, you will lead day-to-day delivery across multiple mandates, including:

  • Building and reviewing financial and credit rating models
  • Evaluating financing structures and debt options
  • Conducting bespoke analysis to support strategic advice
  • Preparing client reports, board materials and presentations
  • Monitoring debt market trends and implications
  • Supporting business development alongside senior leadership

The successful candidate will play a key role in the team’s growth, supporting the expansion of its retained debt advisory offering. This role offers the chance to work closely with experienced leadership on high-impact mandates.

What you'll need:

  • Experience in debt advisory, DCM, credit ratings or corporate treasury
  • Associate-level background from an investment bank, boutique advisory firm or ratings agency
  • Strong financial modelling capability (modelling test forms part of the interview process)
  • Solid understanding of corporate finance and credit fundamentals
  • A strong interest in regulated infrastructure – sector experience is welcome but not essential
  • Professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA or CFA) are desirable

This role would suit someone looking to move away from a generalist model and build long-term sector expertise within a collaborative, well-resourced team.

Work-life balance and flexibility:

The team operates with a genuinely flexible approach. London is the hub, but with offices nationally and hybrid working in place, candidates across the UK are encouraged to apply.
