Job Title: Secondary Tutor Core Subjects (Gateshead) \nLocation: Gateshead \nPay Rate: GBP25 per hour (starting rate) \nJob Type: Temporary | Part-Time | 20 hours per week \nStart Date: January \nHours: School Hours (9:00 AM - 3:00 PM) \n\nCore Subjects Tutor - Maths, English and Science \nAre you a nurturing, patient, and compassionate individual with a passion for supporting students who are disengaged from mainstream education? \nWe are looking for a passionate and skilled Secondary Tutor to work with secondary school students in Gateshead These young people are not currently accessing mainstream education as a result of SEND, SEMH, permanent exclusion and various other reasons. We are looking for Core Subject Tutors to work with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, covering Maths, English and Science, who can provide a safe, encouraging, and empowering learning environment to re-engage them in their learning journey.

\n\nThe Opportunity \nYou will be supporting young people on a 1-1 or small group basis who are not currently accessing full time education for various reasons. \nMany of our young people have not attended school for some time and may have emotional barriers to learning. As a result, we are seeking nurturing Tutors with a patient, flexible approach and a passion for working closely with students to overcome barriers to learning.

\nSessions will take place face to face either in a community setting or at the young persons home. \n\nYour role with us: \n· Deliver one-to-one or small group tuition in Maths and English \n· Develop and implement personalised lesson plans that address individual learning gaps. \n· Monitor student progress \n· Create a supportive and motivating learning environment to help students re-build their confidence in learning.
