Cook – Children’s Residential HomeWisbech | 40 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday, 10am–6pm | £13.31 per hour We are excited to be opening a brand-new children’s residential home in Wisbech and are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by creating nutritious, homely meals for young people in our care.

What you’ll be doing: Planning and preparing balanced, healthy meals that meet children’s dietary needs.Ensuring menus are varied, seasonal and tailored to individual preferences.Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.Managing stock, food orders and storage effectively.Supporting the wider care team by creating a warm, welcoming mealtime environment.

What we’re looking for: Previous experience working as a cook, ideally in a care, school or similar setting.Knowledge of food hygiene standards (Food Hygiene Certificate desirable).Ability to prepare meals for a range of dietary requirements.A positive, flexible attitude and a genuine passion for cooking.Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children.
