Converting Technician – Signage Production

Novograf is seeking a Converting Technician to join our signage production team. This is a hands-on production role converting raw materials into high-quality finished signage products, supporting customer delivery and operational excellence.

The Role


The Converting Technician will report to the Factory Manager, working within the wider operations function under the leadership of the Operations Director. The role involves operating and maintaining converting equipment while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency standards are consistently met.


Key Responsibilities


·      Convert raw materials into finished goods in line with customer specifications 

·      Assemble and fabricate products including signage, folded boxes, and related items 

·      Operate converting equipment safely and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, including guillotines, laminators, loggers, saws, Esko XP44s, and CNC equipment 

·      Carry out routine equipment maintenance, including daily, weekly, and monthly checks, and support service plans for Esko equipment when required 

·      Meet customer deadlines while allowing sufficient time for subsequent production processes 

·      Minimise waste through adherence to procedures, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives 

·      Identify and label raw materials correctly once issued to the shop floor 

·      Maintain high housekeeping and cleanliness standards within the converting area 

·      Undertake additional tasks as required to support Novograf’s operational and strategic objectives 


About You


·      Experience in sign making or print finishing (e.g. lamination, cutting, assembly) 

·      Experience using converting or CNC equipment is desirable 

·      Digital print experience is advantageous and will support future development and training

·      Strong attention to detail and quality standards 

·      A proactive, reliable work ethic and willingness to learn 

·      Ability to work safely and effectively within a production environment 


Working Hours

Monday – Thursday: 08:15 – 16:45 

Friday: 08:15 – 14:30 (early finish)
