Hybrid workingIm currently working with a growing systems integrator in Cheshire who are looking to appoint a Controls Engineer / Automation Engineer to support a range of bespoke automation projects.This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, engineering-led team delivering projects across conveyor systems,automated systems, robotics and pick & place machinery.The RoleYou will be responsible for delivering automation projects from concept through to commissioning, including:PLC programming (predominantly Siemens TIA Portal)HMI development and system integrationElectrical design input (working with third parties for detailed drawings)On-site commissioning and system sign-offProjects typically involve around 6 weeks on site (23 times per year), with the remainder of time spent on design and development.The CompanySystems integrator (no in-house product)Projects across conveyors, robotics, packaging and warehouse automationGrowing focus on in-housesoftware developmentOpportunity to work across a wide range of technologies and industriesCandidate RequirementsControls Engineer / PLC Engineer / Automation Engineer backgroundStrong Siemens TIA Portal experience (S7, WinCC etc.)Experience delivering projects and commissioning systemsComfortable working in a varied, project-led environmentAbility to work independently and as part of a small teamWorking PatternHybrid working available.Additional InformationSalary guide £60,000 £65,000 (depending on experience)UK-wide travel required for commissioning (limited to project phases)Candidates must have the right to work in the UKAbout UsCressida Consulting is acting as an employment agency for this vacancy.
