Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire, Yorkshire, UKGreetingsWe are Hiring Control-M Application SME (Subject Matter Expert)3 days/ week , Hybrid ModelSheffieldJob TitleControl-M Application SME (Subject Matter Expert)Job PurposeThe Control-M Application SME will be responsible for managing and optimising workload automation solutions using BMC Control-M across a global enterprise. This role includes planning and executing upgrades, ensuring operational stability, and providing expert-level support for scheduling and automation processes.Key ResponsibilitiesWorkload Automation Management Configure, maintain, and optimise Control-M environments (Control-M/EM, Server, Agents) to support business-critical processes.Job Scheduling & Monitoring Create, schedule, and monitor batch jobs; troubleshoot failures and ensure SLA compliance.Upgrade Management Plan and perform Control-M application upgrades to version 9.0.22 across a global estate, including:Testing: Validate upgrade packages and conduct regression testing.Change Implementation: Coordinate with global teams to implement changes following organisational change management processes.Post-Upgrade Support: Provide technical assistance and resolve issues post-upgrade.Incident & Problem Resolution Handle agent-level issues, restarts, housekeeping, and job failures promptly.Integration & Migration Support migration of jobs from legacy platforms to Control-M; integrate with enterprise applications (SAP, Oracle, etc.).Compliance & Audit Ensure adherence to security, audit, and compliance standards.Documentation & Training Prepare SOPs, user guides, and deliver training sessions for operations teams.Required Skills & QualificationsStrong expertise in BMC Control-M Workload Automation (including EM, Server, Agents).Hands-on experience with job scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.Proven experience in Control-M upgrades and migrations in large-scale, multi-region environments.Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Preferred SkillsExposure to Managed File Transfer, Batch Impact Manager, and Self-Service features.Knowledge of scripting for automation (Shell, Python, etc.).Understanding of cloud-based workload automation.ExperienceMinimum 8 years in workload automation or batch job scheduling.Prior experience as Control-M SME in global environments.LocationSheffield, UK (Hybrid options available).TPBN1_UKTJ
