Job Title: Control System Engineer\n\nLocation: Manchester\nSalary: Competitive\nStart Date: ASAP\n\nAbout the Role:\nWe are seeking a talented Control System Engineer to join our client's engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver industrial automation solutions across a variety of projects. You will be involved in the full project lifecycle, from concept and design through to commissioning and ongoing support.\n\nKey Responsibilities for Control System Engineer:\n\nDesign and develop PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems for new and existing processes\n\nProduce control philosophies, functional design specifications (FDS), and cause & effect documents\n\nDevelop PLC programs using Siemens, Rockwell, or Schneider platforms\n\nDesign and configure HMI/SCADA systems (WinCC, FactoryTalk, Ignition, Wonderware)\n\nPerform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)\n\nCommission control systems on-site and support start-up activities\n\nDiagnose and resolve control system faults and performance issues\n\nProvide ongoing technical support to operations and maintenance teams\n\nSkills & Experience:\n\nDegree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Systems, or a related field\n\nExperience in PLC/SCADA programming (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider)\n\nExperience commissioning systems in industrial environments\n\nKnowledge of motion control, drives, and servo systems\n\nFamiliarity with process industries such as manufacturing, utilities, oil & gas, or pharma\n\nBenefits:\n\nCompetitive salary with performance bonuses\n\nPension scheme\n\nOpportunities for career progression\n\nCompany discounts and wellness programs\n\nWR Engineering are the #1 recruitment partner for engineering, manufacturing & technical sales jobs.
