Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Contracts / Operations Manager with a geotechnical or rig management background. You’ll manage projects from post-award through to handover, overseeing drilling crews, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and delivering high-quality results across ground investigation and drilling contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take contracts from award to completion, planning and organising resources effectively.
• Supervise drilling crews and rig operations, ensuring efficiency and safety.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
• Coordinate geotechnical or site investigations, including sampling and reporting workflows.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and reporting.
• Maintain communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Oversee project handover, ensuring all documentation and deliverables are complete.
• Identify operational risks and implement proactive solutions.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in rig management, drilling operations, or geotechnical projects.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental requirements for site operations.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent organisational, planning, and leadership skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Relevant qualifications in geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, or drilling operations preferred.
