Contracts Manager – Refurbishment Projects\n\nLocation:\n\nHertfordshire (Projects across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire)\n\n Salary:\n\n Up to £80,000 + travel expenses + bonus + healthcare\n\n Job Type:\n\n Permanent\n\n Start:\n\n Immediate start available\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nWe are recruiting a Contracts Manager to join a well-established regional main contractor delivering refurbishment projects across projects across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire.\n\nThis role is ideal for a Contracts Manager or experienced Project Manager looking for a long-term career move, with a clearly defined progression route to Senior Contracts Manager within 2 years, and onward development to Project Director / Divisional Director level.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple refurbishment projects, typically ranging from £500k to £5m in value.\n\nProjects span a variety of sectors, including:\n\nCommercial\n\nEducation\n\nHealthcare\n\nLeisure\n\nIndustrial\n\nPublic sector refurbishment\n\nAll works are refurbishment-focused (no new build residential).\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\nManaging multiple live refurbishment projects concurrently\n\nFull project lifecycle delivery from pre-construction through to handover\n\nProgramme, cost, quality, and H&S management\n\nLeading site teams, subcontractors, and consultants\n\nClient and stakeholder liaison\n\nReporting to senior management\n\nAbout You\n\nTo be considered, you must have:\n\nA minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Contracts Manager or Project Manager role\n\nA strong background delivering refurbishment projects for a main contractor\n\nExperience working on projects valued between £500k and £5m\n\nExposure to live / occupied environments\n\nExperience across commercial, education, healthcare, or public-sector refurbishment\n\nA stable employment history and a desire to stay with a business long term\n\nThis role is particularly suited to someone towards the start or within the middle Contracts Management career who is ambitious and keen to progress into senior leadership.\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\nSalary up to £80,000 (depending on experience)\n\nFull travel expenses\n\nAnnual bonus\n\nPrivate healthcare\n\nClear and structured progression to Senior Contracts Manager in under 2 years\n\nLong-term career development within a growing regional contractor\n\nHow to Apply\n\nIf you are a Contracts Manager or Project Manager with a refurbishment background and are looking for a long-term role with genuine progression, please get in touch with Sam Patuzzo at Samuel James.\n\n#contractsmanager #maincontractor #hertfordshire
