Job Description
Procter Street is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing Civil Engineering Contractor based in, Manchester. With over 50 years experience within the industry, our client specialise in delivering Highway Maintenance and Civil Engineering projects across the North-West. They are renowned for providing and excellent service, securing regular repeat business whilst continuing to expand their already extensive client base.
The role
As a Contracts Manager, you will oversee sites, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. You will be responsible for managing relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, and for visiting sites on a regular basis. Key responsibilities include:
Manage and oversee multiple construction sites Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and site teams Manage up and down - effectively communicate with senior leadership while managing site teams and relationships with contractors Ensure smooth project delivery in line with drawings and specifications Attend weekly office meetings and site visits Maintain attention to detail and process
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Contracts Manager with a diverse background in Civil Engineering projects, managing multiple schemes at one time whilst providing impeccable stakeholder engagement to the client. You will especially have a strong knowledge of Highways Maintenance schemes and related works. As well as:
Previous experience managing highways, infrastructure and drainage projects Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels, from senior leadership to site teams Ability to read and interpret construction drawings A proven track record in managing construction projects Flexibility to travel to sites and attend office meetings
