Contract Systems Engineer – Aerospace / Electric Propulsion

Oxfordshire (Hybrid) | Contract

A leading aerospace technology business is seeking a Contract Systems Engineer to support the development of next-generation electric propulsion systems for advanced aircraft.

The Role

You’ll work across the full systems lifecycle, helping define, manage, and deliver complex, safety-critical systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Capture and manage system and customer requirements
• Flow down requirements to subsystems and suppliers
• Support system architecture definition
• Produce and maintain interface documentation (ICDs)
• Contribute to system integration and verification (V&V)
• Support certification and compliance activities

Key Skills Required:

• Strong experience in systems engineering (full lifecycle)
• Background in complex engineering systems (aerospace, automotive, defence, etc.)
• Experience with requirements tools (DOORS, Polarion, etc.)
• Exposure to MBSE / system modelling tools (Cameo, Simulink)
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary engineering teams
