Contract Senior Project Manager – Change & Transformation

  • Engagement Type: Contract (Inside IR35) or Fixed-Term
  • Rate and Duration: 6 Months – Rate depending on experience


Overview

We’re supporting a global Fintech business as they deliver a major business transformation programme. They’re looking to bring in an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead high-impact change initiatives focused on improving operations, customer experience, technology, and internal capabilities. This role will lead projects across teams and functions, supporting process change and system improvements.


Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of cross-functional change projects aligned to the wider business transformation strategy
  • Own project planning, scope, timelines, and benefits tracking across multiple workstreams
  • Deliver initiatives focused on business process improvements, operating model changes, and the rollout of new tools or SaaS solutions
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to shape project delivery approaches and ensure business readiness
  • Drive effective governance, reporting, and risk/issue management throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure successful change adoption across impacted teams through effective communication, training, and support
  • Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Managers, and internal delivery teams to ensure alignment between business needs and tech solutions
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in project delivery frameworks, tooling, and collaboration across the transformation portfolio


Skills & Experience

  • Strong track record of delivering business change and transformation projects, ideally in tech-enabled environment
  • Experience leading change across operational, commercial, or customer-facing teams with tech as an enabler
  • Skilled in managing stakeholders at all levels, including executive sponsors and department heads
  • Hands-on experience delivering process change, system rollouts, or organisational transformation
  • Able to operate confidently in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments
  • Excellent planning, governance, and communication skills
  • Familiar with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Trello, or MS Project
  • Formal project/change management certifications (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, AgilePM, PROSCI)
