Role responsibilities:
Support the management of partnership office matters including lateral partner onboarding, retirements, partnership documentation, and related governance issues while maintaining close liaison with HR teams. Review and provide guidance on client engagement terms, outside counsel guidelines, framework agreements, panel terms, and other commercial documentation to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Assist in the review of supplier agreements by identifying potential risks and recommending practical solutions that align with the firm's strategic objectives. Conduct periodic reviews of firm policies and procedures, proactively recommending updates and implementing changes as necessary to maintain regulatory compliance. Provide support on both strategic initiatives and operational matters by collaborating closely with stakeholders across various departments within the organisation. Engage effectively with internal teams and external parties on risk-related topics, fostering open communication channels that promote shared understanding of compliance obligations. Advise on matters relating to SRA Standards and Regulations, Principles, Codes of Conduct, as well as requirements from relevant Law Societies in Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Ireland. Interact directly with regulators when required to address queries or provide information regarding the firm's compliance posture. Work collaboratively with colleagues across all office locations to ensure consistent application of risk management practices throughout the business.
Role requirements:
You are qualified as a Solicitor with at least three years' post-qualification experience or possess equivalent professional credentials gained within a reputable law firm environment. Your background demonstrates substantial experience in risk management as well as handling complex contractual arrangements relevant to legal practice. You have developed strong analytical skills that enable you to interpret intricate regulations while offering practical solutions tailored to business needs.You are familiar with SRA Standards and Regulations along with Codes of Conduct issued by Law Societies in Scotland, Northern Ireland, or Ireland.
