We’re working with a well-established business that designs and builds automation and robotic systems used across industries like medical devices and packaging.
They’ve built a strong reputation for solving complex engineering problems and, as a result, have a healthy pipeline of exciting projects ahead. With continued growth and a people-first ownership structure, they’re now looking to bring in an experienced Project Manager to join the team.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be taking ownership of multiple engineering projects from start to finish — making sure everything runs smoothly, on time, and within budget.
It’s a hands-on role where you’ll be coordinating teams, working closely with customers, and keeping everything on track commercially and technically.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Managing up to 4 projects at any one time
Keeping projects on schedule and aligned with agreed deliverables
Taking full ownership of project scope and customer requirements
Making sure key milestones (including payments) are met
Coordinating handovers between internal teamsBudgets & Resources
Managing project budgets, costs, and margins
Planning and allocating resources across design, build, electrical, software, and commissioning teams
Making sure the right people are in the right place at the right timeTechnical Oversight
Running design reviews and keeping engineering standards high
Overseeing purchasing to stay in line with budgets
Supporting the build, controls, and software integration throughout the projectCustomer Interaction
Acting as the main point of contact for clients
Keeping customers updated and managing expectations
Handling changes, delays, or risks in a proactive wayQuality & Compliance
Making sure everything meets quality standards and any relevant regulations
Keeping documentation accurate and up to dateWhat Success Looks Like

Experience
Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
Around 10 years’ experience managing engineering or automation projects
Experience working with regulated industries (medical, healthcare, packaging, etc.)
Strong background in managing budgets, timelines, and resources
Comfortable using project planning toolsSkills
Organised and good at juggling multiple priorities
Commercially aware
Confident leading cross-functional teams
Strong communicator who can work with different stakeholders
Good problem-solver who can adapt when things change
