About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Contract Manager to join their growing business. You will be responsible for managing contracts across projects, ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and supporting successful delivery. The role involves working closely with clients in the construction sector and end-user markets, providing commercial and contractual oversight from project inception to completion.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong commercial awareness and experience managing complex contracts.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
* Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Provide commercial and legal guidance to project teams and clients.
* Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
* Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery and adherence to contractual obligations.
* Maintain accurate records of contracts, amendments, and correspondence.
* Monitor market and regulatory changes that may impact contractual arrangements.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Contract Manager, preferably within the construction or engineering sectors.
* Strong understanding of contract law, commercial terms, and risk management.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously and work under pressure.
* Commercially aware, with the ability to provide practical solutions to contractual challenges.
* Professional qualification or membership in a relevant body (desirable, e.g., RICS, CIOB).
