Contract Manager – Outsourcing & Procurement

Location: London / Hybrid

Contract: OUTSIDE IR35 – up to £500/day

We’re partnering with a leading IT Consulting firm to hire a Contract Manager to support a major outsourcing programme. This is a high-impact role where you’ll drive procurement, supplier down-selection, and contractual negotiations for technology and IT operations services. You’ll ensure robust contractual frameworks are in place that protect the organisation, enable effective service delivery, and remain commercially competitive.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing the full contract lifecycle from RFP support to contract signature
• Facilitating supplier evaluation and down-selection, ensuring all legal, commercial, and operational requirements are addressed
• Negotiating key terms and service levels with MSPs, aligned to transition plans and operational needs
• Coordinating with transition leadership to ensure contracts support delivery and service expectations
• Embedding commercial risk management into supplier and contract discussions
• Supporting the organisation’s long-term strategic capability in outsourcing and vendor management

Experience required:

• Extensive experience negotiating and managing outsourcing contracts in technology and IT operations
• Proven experience with MSP-to-MSP transitions or in-house to outsourced model transitions
• Knowledge of professional services environments and procurement models in large firms (e.g., Freshfields, Allen & Overy, Shearman, Clifford Chance)
• Experience contracting with global MSPs such as Capgemini, Avanade, Accenture, or similar
• Ability to balance commercial rigour with operational realities in high-stakes outsourcing arrangements
