We’re looking for an exceptional Content Production Co-ordinator to help us make a difference to our planet.

As our Content Production Co-ordinator, the job may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in the office and part of the week from home.This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and the location advertised will be your contractual place of work.

Our opportunity is full time, 37 hours per week, but we would also consider applicants wishing to work a minimum of 30 hours per week and we will also try our best to consider those intending to work a jobshare. Our people are at the heart of what we do and we'll do our best toagreea working pattern that works for everyone.

Whilst this is a temporary position until September 2026, there is potential for it to develop into a permanent position.

Your world ofexpertise

You will support the development of innovative and engaging public content across multiple channels and platforms as part of a hands-on, operational role. You will coordinate the production of social-first assets — including video, graphics, animations, and written copy.

This is a vital role in planning, creating, and managing content that aligns with the Met Office brand and objectives.

The right applicant will be organised, show great attention to detail and have strong project management skills.They will be proactive at learning andsharing, always keeping one eye on the horizon to spot trends and technological advances.

As our Content Production Co-ordinator, your total reward package will be up to £38,280 annually, which includes:

Essential Criteria,skillsand experience:

1.A Content Production Coordinator must be highly organised, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and ensure timely delivery of content.You will be able to evidence experience of coordinating schedules, managing deadlines, and maintaining an efficient workflow.

2.You’ll truly live and breathe content and social media, passionate about your own or an organisation’s social accounts with a desire to stay up-to-date with who is creating amazing content

3.Effective communication is vital in this role, as the coordinator must liaise with various stakeholders, including presenters, designers, editors, and internal customers.You will have examples of projects you have worked on where excellent communications abilities have been critical to success.

4. Quality control is a significant part of content production.Coordinators must have a keen eye for detail to spot errors, ensure brand consistency, and maintain high standards across all content pieces.Through specific examples, you will be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and how this resulted in a good outcome.

5.We are looking for a proactive, self-starter, do you have an example of anything you have worked on that you initiated and managed to completion, including why you think this was successful?

6.You will help us to keep evolving in the social landscape, spotting developments, new channels and ways of communicating, tell us about a time when you identified an opportunity to drive and implement change, and your role in this.

1. Basic technical skills in graphic design, video editing, and other content creation tools (Canva, CapCut etc.). This knowledge allows coordinators tounderstand the production process and communicate effectively with creative teams as well as roll their sleeves up and create/tailor content themselves.
