Transport Planner - Birmingham - Growing Transport Planning Consultancy
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid) Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (DOE) Type: Full-time, Permanent
I'm currently working with a well-established and forward-thinking transport planning consultancy based in central Birmingham. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they're looking to bring on a Transport Planner to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in development planning who wants to work across a diverse range of projects-including residential, commercial, and mixed-use schemes-within a collaborative and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare transport assessments, travel plans, and technical notes to support planning applications Undertake junction modelling (using ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG) and trip generation analysis (TRICS) Liaise with local authorities, clients, and other consultants Assist with data collection, site visits, and feasibility assessments Stay up to date with transport planning policy and guidanceRequirements:
Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or similar Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a transport planning/development planning role Proficiency with standard transport planning software (e.g., TRICS, Junctions, LINSIG) Strong written and verbal communication skills A proactive and detail-oriented approachWhat's on Offer:...
