This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant in Public Health to join the Bristol team on fixed term, 12 month basis (part time 0.6 WTE).

Our Public Health function is multi-disciplinary and has a broad reach across the council and works in service of the city, supporting and with our Integrated Care System. We aim to deliver high quality public health programmes; have our communities at heart and to be One City.
Applicants should have well developed competencies in all core areas of public specialist health and be comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
The position sits within our Healthy Children and Families Programme area, matrix working across the division with a key role in ensuring that systems and processes are in place to reduce inequality and to improve the health of our children. Relationship building and strong team working are essential to this role.
This Role Has Particular Responsibility For:
- Child Health Inequality
- Health Improvement for Children and Young People
- Strategic Partnership for children and families health and wellbeing
- Liaison with the NHS for child health
