Job Summary We are excited to invite applications for a Consultant Anaesthetist at Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust. The Anaesthetic Department consists of nearly 40 consultants and over 30 specialty doctors, trust grades and trainees. We are a motivated and supportive group, with a track record including RCOA accreditation (ACSA). The successful candidate will have a varied and fulfilling consultant career delivering anaesthetic services to a wide range of district general hospital specialties. About Us Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust was formed by the merger of Kingston Hospital NHS Trust and Hounslow and Richmond Community NHS Trust. Kingston and Richmond Hospital is a district general hospital situated in a desirable area close to London. The acute hospital is located on a single site in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, with outpatient clinics in neighbouring areas.
We employ 3,300+ staff supporting over 350,000 people locally. We are known for innovative developments in healthcare, particularly in patient-focused care, day surgery and maternity services. Our Maternity Unit is the second biggest in London and receives excellent ratings.

Qualifications
Full GMC Registration (or eligibility to obtain). FRCA or equivalent CCT in Anaesthesia and on GMC's Specialist Register; or within 6 months of CCT from the date of the interview or have confirmed eligibility for Specialist Registration.
Clinical Experience
Wide range of anaesthetic experience in all surgical specialties excluding cardiac surgery and neurosurgery Experience of emergency surgery in all ages of patients above 2 years of age Exposure to management of sick children in a district general hospital setting prior to transfer
Desirable
Advanced training/SIAs (or equivalent) in regional anaesthesia, obstetrics, peri-operative medicine, bariatric surgery, acute inpatient pain, ophthalmic surgery
Experience in Teaching
Demonstrable commitment and ability to teach and train undergraduates and junior doctors
