The Opportunity

Our client is delivering a £2.9 billion nuclear construction programme, supporting the safe decommissioning and future operations of a nationally significant site. Your duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Lead and manage day-to-day construction activities on-site, ensuring delivery against programme, budget, and quality targets.
  • Embed nuclear safety culture and ensure compliance with client standards and ONR regulations.
  • Manage site teams and subcontractors, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all works meet specifications and nuclear quality documentation requirements.
  • Champion health, safety, and environmental compliance under CDM and nuclear site licence conditions.
  • Liaise with client representatives, regulators, and internal teams to resolve technical challenges.
  • Provide accurate progress reports and forecasts to senior management.


You will have the following qualifications & experience:

  • Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Proven experience delivering major infrastructure projects in regulated environments (nuclear preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and UK nuclear safety regulations.
  • CSCS, SMSTS, and relevant nuclear safety training (e.g., Nuclear Safety Passport).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance.


It’s great if you also have the following:

  • Experience in reinforced concrete structures and heavy civil works.
  • Previous involvement in nuclear or high-hazard projects.
  • Familiarity with digital construction tools and BIM.
