Arise Recruit would like to speak to self employed / freelance Construction Estimators who have scope to offer 3+ days per week to a company in Brighton on an ongoing basis. This is a hybrid role and only occasional meetings in Brighton will be required. Suitable candidates will come from a main contractor or consultancy background. Day rates up to £375.
General Estimator responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
*
Review tender documentation from a range of clients
*
Produce tender returns in accordance with the schedule produced
*
Attend to post-tender queries, clarifications, and value engineering options
*
Assess and schedule cost-saving/value engineering solutions on an ongoing basis throughout the tender to ensure this information is available for use post submission
*
Attend internal pre-contract meetings to hand over the project to the appointed management team
*
Measurement from drawings manually and electronically
Experience:
*
Ideally Degree qualified or other relevant qualification
*
Track record working for reputable construction companies
*
Experience working on a range of projects across multiple sectors £1M+
*
Able to take off from drawings, and familiar with estimating packages
