An award-winning UK law firm is seeking a Construction Disputes Solicitor or Associate (1-5 PQE) to join its nationally recognised team, with the option to be based in Birmingham. The Role
This opportunity sits within a highly regarded construction disputes team operating across multiple UK offices, working seamlessly on complex and high-profile matters.
Key aspects of the role include:
Advising on a broad range of contentious construction matters, including final account disputes, loss and expense claims, defects and delay claims.
Acting on adjudications, mediations and court proceedings, including high-value and multi-party disputes.
Supporting on complex PFI/PPP and infrastructure-related disputes.
Working with a diverse client base including local authorities, NHS Trusts, housing associations, developers, contractors and funders.
Exposure to significant matters such as:
Multi-million-pound PFI and infrastructure disputes.
High-value adjudications involving payment and contractual interpretation issues.
Complex building safety and cladding-related claims.
Collaborating closely with partners and colleagues across a national platform.
Contributing to business development initiatives and client relationship management.
About You
You will ideally have:
1-5 years' PQE with experience in construction or commercial disputes.
Exposure to adjudication and/or litigation, ideally within the construction or projects space.
Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
The ability to manage your own workload and work effectively as part of a wider team.
Excellent communication skills and a commercial, client-focused approach.
A proactive and ambitious mindset, with a genuine interest in developing within a leading construction team.
