Job Description

We are working with a well established and growing construction business to recruit a Buyer into their UK team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in centralising the buying function in the UK, as it is currently managed from Ireland.

The Role:

As Buyer, you will be responsible for the procurement of materials, plant and tools (no subcontract buying), while also supporting with utilities administration. You will be based from the company’s central London HQ, with visits to the plant yard in West London a few times per month.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing the procurement of materials, plant and tools across projects Developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships Supporting utilities administration and associated processes

About You

This role would suit someone earlier in their buying career who is ambitious and keen to grow with a business.

We are looking for:

Experience in a Buyer or Procurement role (construction ) Existing supplier contacts and the ability to build strong relationships A commercial mindset with a focus on cost control and efficiency
