Construction Associate/Senior Associate – 4 to 8 years PQE – Global Law Firm (Glasgow/Edinburgh/Remote)

Our client, a prestigious global law firm with a Tier 1 ranked Construction & Projects practice, is seeking a talented solicitor with 4+ years’ PQE to join its leading projects team in Scotland. This is a standout opportunity to work on some of the most complex, high-value, and intellectually stimulating construction and energy-related projects in the market today.

This role can be based in either Edinburgh/Glasgow or the firm will also consider remote candidates.

The Role

You’ll be advising developers, funders, purchasers and tenants on a broad range of non-contentious construction issues. From full-scale development procurement to providing strategic lifecycle advice at the earliest stages of a project, your work will cover:

• Drafting and negotiating building contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties and all related construction documentation.
• Advising on construction aspects of real estate and finance transactions including agreements for lease, development agreements, sale agreements and financing arrangements.
• Acting on major developments such as retail parks, logistics centres, and high-spec commercial fit-outs.
• Supporting clients in identifying the most suitable procurement routes and managing risk from inception to completion.
• Working cross-functionally with specialists in planning, real estate, finance, and dispute resolution across the firm’s global platform.

What We’re Looking For

• UK-qualified solicitor with 4+ years’ PQE in non-contentious construction.
• Strong experience in drafting and negotiating standard form and bespoke construction documents.
• Experience acting for a range of clients including developers, institutional investors, landlords, tenants and funders.
• Exposure to energy projects is also desirable
• A team player with excellent commercial acumen and communication skills.
• Able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced and intellectually rigorous environment.
